Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (888) 771-8229. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is mademoisellecolette.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 783 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian deli in Menlo Park and suggests consistent service.
Menlo Park is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Menlo Park is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I love it here. The coffee, the salads and all the pastries. Best burrata salad in the planet. Back patio is fabulous. Barbara and Ricardo will make you feel so welcomed with their excellent customer service. The staff is super friendly and ready to help you out with anything you need. You gotta try it if you haven’t yet.

Had a lovely time here. Got the brie prosciutto peach croissant and it was very well made. Place was busy, service was fast and attentive though. We didn't have to wait much for our plates. Server Ricardo helped me pick the Citrus Flower as dessert and it was my favorite. Thank you! Def will be back to try out the pastries

I was excited to try this pastry place since I saw it in a couple “Bay Area Best” lists. And even though the appearance was very promising I found the pastries pretty mediocre compared to the same price ones in SF. The passion fruit tart appeared to be on a simple side, being just sweet and lacking juiciness/creaminess/crunchiness which you expect from a tart. The almond croissant was totally lacking the lamination; the texture was thick and doughy instead of airy and flaky. It was disappointingly bland (couldn't taste the almond filling at all) and far too heavy + overly sweet. The last thing that was really disappointing- the waiting time for the avocado sandwich. It was like 20+ minutes while the place wasn’t even packed. I loved the interior, cute tea cups and workers being welcoming, but its definitely not enough to come here again

We feel so lucky to have Mademoiselle Colette in downtown Menlo Park! From the best salads and savory sandwiches to pastries that leave me speechless every time I try something new, everything here is a total 10/10. Beyond the incredible food, the heart of the experience is the service, Ricardo, is always so kind to my daughter and makes every visit feel like visiting a friend. Whether you stick to your "regulars" or branch out, you will always leave wanting more!

This place is an absolute gem - so good my best friend and I are here 3-4 days a week! The pastries are incredible, the coffee is always perfect, and their tomato soup is to die for (please bring it back more often!). But the staff truly makes the place special. Ricardo is amazing — so friendly, warm, welcoming, and always puts a smile on your face! And Enrique and Victoria make the best coffee and are always a joy to see. I have never had anything but the most amazing customer service here, and they do such a fantastic job of making every customer feel valued. Beautiful atmosphere, great food, WONDERFUL people. We’re obsessed! ❤️
